Professor Alireza Yavari is an accomplished, highly respected, and well-traveled international lawyer, having studied and practiced law extensively throughout the world. He specializes in the drafting and review of major international Commercial contracts and practices the fields of International Investment Law and International Trade and Dispute Resolution, he represents different private international organizations at the UNCITRAL, The United Nations.
He is the alumnus of different reputable universities and legal institutes around the world such as the Paris- Sorbonne University; the George Washington University; Leiden University; the diplomatic Academy of Vienna and so on.
He is also the head of the ICITRAL Commission (Iranian Commission on International Trade Law) at the ICILS in The Hague (Iranian Center for International Legal Studies); In addition, he is the founder of the UNCITRAL task force in collaboration with private organizations and NGOs such as the TCCIMA (Tehran Chamber of Commerce) as an independent research body focusing on different aspects of the International Trade Law which publishes academic books and articles in the field of trade law under Professor Yavari’s leadership.

Working and cooperating with different Arbitral Institutions and Law firms around the world; Professor Alireza Yavari is a frequently appointed Arbitrator in High-Profile disputes. Mastering 6 different languages has broadened his region of activity in different countries.
As a Member of ASIL (American Society of International Law) in Washington DC, he is constantly engaged with the latest developments in the field of International Law and its related topics.

His long term focus on different fields of International Law such as the IHL (International Humanitarian Law), Public International Law alongside the US law and Political Science; has made him an active expert in the field, capable of commentating on different Political and international issues, on different occasions, Professor Yavari is invited by different News Medias as a Political analyst and an International Law Expert.

He is a keen Supporter of every peaceful, non-violent and positive change in Iran, including amendments and reforms in the existing political structure and foreign policies.

In terms of International Relations, Professor Yavari hopes and supports the restoration of friendly relations between Iran and the US and naturally the revival of Diplomatic ties.
